Then props should too, we need 4 in a match day squad and 6 in a first team squad.

Hope not.

I don’t think we’ll make another signing before the start of the season, but with Gale leaving we clearly have cap space free if the right player becomes available mid season.

Poor form to take the 2 shirt off Briscoe imo. He looks most likely to miss out if everyone is fit, but still a shoddy way to treat one of the present squads longest serving players.
I appreciate it is only a number and has no bearing on starting positions but it seems an unnecessary decision.

Maybe Tom doesn't give 2 hoots. I'm sure the club would have spoken to him first and explained the situation. Maybe they've done it looking to the future and wanting David Fusitu’a to feel welcomed and part of the squad. I'm pretty sure Tom won't be losing sleep over it

Can't win really, if fusitua had have been give number 20 then that would have been questioned no doubt with the club accused of being too sentimental. Time to move forward.

he's only long serving as they keep giving him any number , should have gone altogether could have had rl benefit at wakey

There can be no issues with giving Fusitu'a the #2 shirt. We sign a player like that to play first grade every week, the number just follows the intention.

Overall the squad seems about right. I don't think we'll line up 1-17 for game one, but we might be 1-13.

No gaps in squad numbers so unless we're going to add in a 33 looks like our recruitment is done?

Glad to see Muizz given a number actually, I hope he gets some game time this year and shows up well.
