This frivolous nonsense is indicative of the attitude of the whole officiating arm of the governing body IMO. The Bentley one after Warrington game was the worst one, come up with evidence and video footage that directly refutes the written judgement then get an extra game for being frivolous- uphold the ban by all means but to add further games despite new evidence...?
Absolutely the man in the middle is the one in charge but the attitude shown by some of the referees towards players is incredibly disrespectful and very much "we know best now go away and if you dare ask any questions we'll just penalise further". I think referees like Thaler and even Bentham etc had a way of speaking with players whereas the current lot talk down rather than to players.
I dont generally buy into the whole "theyre against us" rhetoric but I think it's probably fair to say Leeds/Agar quite possibly rubbed the MRP up the wrong way over the last 12-18 months with some of the comments that have been made...
All of that said, we've made a point in press releases/conferences of how we've taken independent advice from former Grade A refs etc. Well, whoever, we're asking we need to ask someone else considering we've not had a successful appeal yet!
