No such reluctance on Zak's part, it would seem...

The sad thing is even if he doesn't he won't be far off the best, given the lack of talent.

That is very true mate.
The best of the rest are pretty average.
Personally I think Ratchford is the nearest to challenge Zak and even he has his faults.

He doesn't even need to sort himself out that much, he can still go out and get up to whatever he wants if he plays well, Im sure he was not saint in 2015 when he was tearing defences to pieces, or in 2014 when it seemed none could get passed him.
As long as he show up (sober) to training and doesn't do anything illegal then his form on the pitch will probably get back to his best.
It looks as though GH or Mac (not too sure who would make these decisions) doesn't trust him to do this, so that is why he is being sold.

Hardaker's made it for them.

| Quote caslad75="caslad75"Maybe someone like Sinfield needs to get hold of him. Is it a coincidence that the 'old guard' of Leeds leave the club and Zac goes downhill?'"
He had 5 years of having Sinfield and Peacock as a teammate and still had the likes of good professionals like JJB, Burrow, Hall etc. there this year. I'm pretty sure senior guys have had plenty of advice for him over the years.
When someone keeps promising to fix his ways and then repeat offends the patience level thins. If you're one of those senior guys at the club who have tried to give Hardaker advice previously you'd rightly be annoyed at him for not taking it on board.
Peacock said after last year ended how angry he was at Hardaker for potentially derailing our season before it had hardly begun, and he has a point. Put yourself in Peacock & Sinfield's position. Your last season, want to end on the best possible high and your starting FB almost gets himself in a position where the club have to sack him a few games in. It's disrespectful to his teammates to continue having these unprofessional episodes and not take his career as seriously as he possibly could when he's had a few warnings already.

| Sinfield gave up on him after World Cup when Sinny got the management to give Zak another chance after a drinking binge only for Zachery to go out on lash again a week later.

| Those suggesting Hardaker wouldn't have missed the tackle that Lomax did ought to watch the tries he let in playing FB for the Panthers this year. He looked anything but strong in the tackle - an absolute lightweight in fact. I'm not suggesting the 2015 Hardaker wouldn't have done a lot better, but I'm not sure if Hardaker himself realised how much he'd let himself go this year.

| By the sounds of what Zak gets up to, he would have missed the tackle like Lomax as he could likely have been nursing a hangover...

| I Hardaker definitely going? He is currently on holiday with Ferres and tweeted last week that preseason starts next week.
Would Mac really bring him back for preseason if he is done with him?

They have more chance of moving him on if whoever is taking him doesn't have to spend months getting him fit

| I guess it wouldn't be the biggest shock in the world if he stays. Maybe GH and co feel that he may come back with his tail between his legs, having seen his worth on the market is nothing like he thought? If so there may be a chance to turn his attitude around.
