Hes one of the very best coaches out there and certainly the best British coach there is. He wants to talk to Leeds about the job. No brainer for me and should have happened already.

Sinfield is making a huge mistake keeping Agar at the helm, the club needs a huge boost. Wane or indeed someone like Flanagan would do that.

Long-term, I don't think Wane is the answer, but short term, he's exactly what we need.

Really? Personally I'd pick Powell over Wane, given the choice. McDermott has a better record at trophy winning than Wane.

The longer this goes on, the more likely it isn't going to be Wane. Otherwise GH would have picked up the phone by now. Depends how desperate we are though, and how things are going with their #1 target. Lose to London next week and we'll see!

Personally, I think Ian Watson would be a great choice if we want a British coach.

Yeah not a bad shout. I rate Powell very highly but for me Wane is the best British coach. We need to get a move on to allow whoever it is time to turn things around before it's too late.

Negotiations may be going on behind the scenes ,any new coach will want guarantees about breaking up this squad and the kind of quality to be signed. No quick fix statements will do now the situation is desperate

Long term is all we should be thinking of, or that term becomes longer and longer.

Agree. If we keep chopping and changing we won’t get a grip of the culture. Would be risky but maybe a Demetriou... if I was a coach approached by Leeds I would want a lot of assurances after seeing what happened to Furner.

I'm as anti Shaun Wane as anyone... I hated him at Wigan...but that might be because he gave his players a determination not to be beaten.....at all costs!! But he doesn't take any crap, and he would toughen the defence up a treat!! We can score tries at the moment, but can't defend for toffee!
I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Coaches are responsible for systems but Leeds are just not physical enough. We have experienced players with poor technique and junior players lacking in strength.

I don’t think changing the coach is going to paper over these cracks. This squad needs another overhaul, and time.
