Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

I agree and feel Mik has been above average in nearly all of the Leeds games he played in.
Nothing brilliant and not poor.
This is probably down to the amount of minutes and games he has played and having to carry an underperforming pack for the last 2 years.
All that said he is much better than Cooper.
I did think picking Hill was a mistake but he has stood up so far in the games he`s played.

You cant say that on here - you do know Mik is the greatest forward in SL and he can walk on the surface of the River Aire down at Kirkstall if you believed the hype on here.

My view good potential but will not develop much more - improving his defence needs to be no 1 priority - it isn't his best quality

Ahead of Hill or Burgess - take your blue&amber specs off. Time for a reality check - he just isnt as good as many on here think

I like Mik. He has the ingredients to be a good quality prop, but he has some developing to do. Seems to play within himself at times, like he doesn't want to let rip. McDermott said it once that he needs to remember he's a prop. But he is young (24). Burgess 30, Hill 35, Cooper 34, Thompson 27, Lees is also 24.

I'd be more disappointed as Luke Thompson not being picked over Cooper

I agree with you Thompson's stats were the best of all the props not getting selected must be disappointing

On Mik - it is almost as constructive criticism is frawned upon on here. Many are blinded to his shortcomings

To be fair on Mik he's also been pretty short handed in terms of other supporting front rowers. Leading the pack on his shoulders at 24, not bad and for what it's worth I think he will continue to improve, largely due to his attitude.

Samoa Eliminate Tonga In a World Cup Classic : Sun Nov 06, 2022 4:16 pm

Samoa Eliminate Tonga In a World Cup Classic

As soon as the draw for the World Cup was made the standout game of the quarter finals looked as though it might be the meeting of Tonga and Samoa, should Tonga win their group and Samoa complete theirs as runners up to England. And so it came to pass, the most eagerly anticipated game of the tournament so far.

The prize on offer was a semi-final encounter against England next Saturday afternoon as the two sides met for the nineteenth time with Tonga the slight favourites to pick up the win as world ranked number two against a Samoa side ranked as seventh.

Samoa had only been given a four point start on the coupon and everything pointed to a close encounter between the two, Polynesian rugby league mad countries.

Really !

Overhyped , far too many errors , even though Samoa have improved since they have sobered up from the first England game it will still be a 20 point plus win next week for the home side

The game was ok as two ordinary sides made it an even contest

Ferns Win As Cooks Score First Points Against Them

The second placed Kiwi Ferns took on bottom team Cook Islands in the first match of a Group B double header in the women's World Cup at York's LNER Community Stadium.
The Kukis lost 74-0 to Australia last time out, which made New Zealand the clear favourites in this encounter that saw Cooks players Karaitiana and Terehia Matua  both named to line up against their aunt Krystal Rota, who captained the Ferns.
The Kukis took to the field knowing they had never beaten the Ferns, the four-time World Cup champions.

It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

Really enjoyed it. Frankly it’s been years since I last watched a TV game without spending half of it on the iPad. This one really held my attention. Brutal and compelling, but I fancy England to beat Samoa and make the final.
