Kicks were all too long? I'm sure if he kicked it to the KR 40 you'd be loving it then?
We got cained in the 6 agains and pens in the 2nd half, and played 20 minutes of it with 12 men. Hard to get good attack going with that
Even still we've conceded 3 tries - 1 kick off the post pad, 1 where KR player dropped ball on his own foot and got a bounce, one where the young lad playing FB got out muscled.
If you expected an easy win tonight you must have seen a different team sheet to me

Tad can’t stand Smith that clouds his judgement IMO

Hull KR Victorious Over Leeds Rhinos : Thu Feb 22, 2024 9:54 pm

Hull KR Victorious Over Leeds Rhinos
After a perfect start to the season, humiliating their arch enemies from across the city, Hull Kingston Rovers welcomed the Leeds Rhinos to Craven Park for the opening match of round two of Super League XXIX, hoping for another clean sheet but happy to settle for a win and the important two points.

The only change to the starting thirteen for the home side was the promotion of George King and the selection of Corey Hall to the bench in place of Matt Parcell (suspended) while Leeds had Justin Sangare in for Oledzki (shoulder), Bentley stepping off the bench into the starting line-up in place of Donaldson and Alfie Edgell for Lachlan Miller who was taken ill on the coach.

The home side were the favourites for the win, the Rhinos given a six-point start on the handicap coupon as the bookies believed that Mikey Lewis would again turn on the style and the Rhinos would struggle on the road.

You talk absolute rubbish. No plan and no kicking game? I would say our plan was fairly clear, I would say the kicking game was as good as it could be (we scored from a kick, most of the other kicks were from deep).

Pitch was awful, they scored from a kick that hit the post, a fumble that created a bit of space wide and then a contested kick with us having a young full back. We were a bit silly with discipline but I thought we kept in it, gave it a go. Hull are a decent team, they are at home and we lacked a bit of punch up front.

I don’t like we lost, but we move on to next week

So much negativity on here feels like some are just waiting for us to lose! Tough game tonight, ill discipline cost us, felt like every tackle they were begging for the ref to give them something. Edgell did well, Bentley had a good game minus that holding penalty. Frawley obviously given the instruction to try catch Hiku out with a high ball, thought sangare ran well but seemed scared to put the shoulder in in Defence. We desperately need props back soon as I foresee Lisone and Donaldson (lol) getting a couple matches.

Poor discipline, and the 2 sin binnings have cost us here. We defended pretty well overall, 3 tries conceded from kicks, 2 of which were deflections, and didn't concede many breaks.
The attack looked much better when we had some size in the middle, the momentum really shifted when Sangare wasn't on the field.

It was one of those games when everything seemed to go against us. So, hopefully, we can get some troops back and tighten up the discipline.

Felt two of their tries were very jammy too, to hit the post and then drop onto his leg we were unlucky

Discipline was awful you can’t win games turning over the ball that much. We could have won that if we had not played stupid.

Look light in the pack we were crying out for another prop
