Another problem seemed to be that Fusitua was simply getting less ball than the backs on our left flank. Hopefully Smith will address this in the new season.
Smith seems to want the halfbacks playing together and on both sides of the field. That will help the right edge. Mind you it would also be good if Newman looks to pass a bit more.
Devastating news for him. Worst possible time to happen with his career in its infancy too…. Let’s hope he comes back fitter and stronger than ever.
Yeah, it is a real shame especially given how well he had been training in the off-season and the shape he'd got himself in. He is still very young though so he has plenty of time on his side to come back from it.
