Marquee is not that irrelevant it all depends on how much cap space we have left.I doubt very much we would have say £200K plus left but if we do then we could offer a contract for that amount.

Kev says in YEP they’re working through a number of options. New lockdown is making it tricky for any overseas players as leaving Aus to come here where the restrictions are heavy etc is making it hard to convince. Interesting to see how this goes.

Looks like it’s going to be a long wait and fingers crossed that we don’t get any injuries in the front row in the meantime...

Yes it looks that way and hopefully the front row starts and stays healthy.We can i;m sure cope for a few months rotating what we have but a couple of long term front row injuries then that will be a disaster.

As the man who set the platform for the winning culture throughout our golden decade you just have to trust Kev to make the correct decisions wrt playing personnel at the current time.

As long as we end up with the right players at the right times then Im happy in this instance to give him a bit a bit more leeway on the subject, especially with the covid fallout and current circumstances in constant flux.

I think we should stay well clear ofUnion players. Different game completely especially in the forwards. Too big and slow for SL and we would only be able to attract 2nd rate players due to amount top stars earn in Union. The days we could attract top Union stars are long gone now.

I am sure that we are talking to someone we need to be patient!!
