You've already overachieved on this season's expectations for me.

Got 75mins today aganist the dragon's. Had a good game as well. Good under the high ball. Backed up well and showed a good step. Seemed to get a bit tired at the end and missed a couple of tackles. But that's probably understandable due to his lack of games. It would have been a good game as well if the Roosters had any idea in attack.

Apart from the two missed tackles at the end where it was clear he was struggling with cramp, I thought Tansey was the Roosters best player.

I agree and with no disrespect to Tansey, that's probably why the Roosters were so $hit. That a young English kid with virtually no NRL experience can come on and be their best player, means the rest of them should have a long hard look at themselves.

Having said that. Most teams are going to struggle to stop Soward at the moment. He is immense.

English recruit Jordan Tansey out to emulate Adrian Morley's Roosters run

After swapping the cold of Leeds in northern England for the beachside life of Sydney's eastern suburbs six months ago, Roosters fullback Jordan Tansey finally got a proper taste of the NRL on Anzac Day - and he wants more.

Tansey played his first 75 minutes in the NRL in the defeat by St George Illawarra on Saturday, after Sisa Waqa was forced out with a back injury, and showed some promising signs in an otherwise disappointing day for Brad Fittler's side.

The 22-year-old made the brave decision to leave English giants Leeds Rhinos last year and, after chatting to former Roosters prop Adrian Morley, opted to take up a two-year deal to play in the NRL.

Tansey's move received far less fanfare than his close friend Gareth Ellis's switch to the Wests Tigers and he said he expects more players from England to try their luck in Australia.

“I still speak to the lads back at home and they are really interested to know what it is like out here and would definitely like to give it a go,'' he said.

“Gaz (Ellis) is a good mate and we try and catch up as much as we can and have a game of golf and he is doing really well at the Tigers.

“I have been here six months now and am still getting used to it, but I like Sydney, there are a lot of good places to eat and living near the beach is very different to home.''

Morley enjoyed a magnificent career with the Roosters helping them to three successive grand finals - including victory in the 2002 final against the Warriors - and Tansey said the prop had nothing but good things to say about the Roosters.

“When I first came over here Moz was over as well (on holiday) so I had the chance to catch up with him and he told me all about the club and what to expect.

“He was a bit of a legend here and if I can have half the success he had when he was here I will be delighted.''

Tansey admitted the game is very different from what he experienced in England and the pace took him by surprise.

“It's a lot different and with the two referees it is much faster but I am really enjoying it, it's a great learning experience, I just hope now to get a few more games under my belt and really show what I can do.''
