I pointed this out 2 weeks ago. It seems the club are slower on identifying the problem than me. 8)

Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

It could be viewed as he doesn't want to see SL going down the route the NRL took for the previous three seasons which resulted in boring, negative rugby. Thankfully with two referees the NRL is back to free flowing attacking rugby that spectators actually want to watch - the crowds are well up this year.

Of course you were blinded by your predudice and unable to see that :D
Are you happy with the direction Mclennan has our attack going?

Even a moron like L4L has correctly observed that the team with the highest dependency on dummy half running, Saints, have adapted successfully to a slower ruck and haven't skipped a beat.

Could it be that Potter is simply a better coach than McLennan? Imagine what Potter might've done last year with the championship side built by Tony Smith eh........

Just for fun, in the SL regular rounds as they haven't faced off in the play offs yet.

Brian McClennan 2 - 1 Mick Potter

Brian McClennan 4 - 1 McNamara

Steve McNamara 6 - 2 Mick Potter

Hopefully it will also change as players develop their attacking game so they don't just rely on a quick ruck to make a break. Certain SL sides have based most of their gameplan around the quick ruck and lack any real ability to break down defences when they're slowed down.

Correct. Thats why our national team fail when they play aussies and nz. We can't break down defenses when we're slowed down at the ptb. Saints are the biggest users of the quick ptb methods, but they've got more size in the backs and pack unlike us which is helping them at present with unlocking defenses when slowed down.

That was fun. Doesn't illustrate what Potter might've done with Tony Smith's championship team like but fun nonetheless. Well, fun for a stattoe like you. I prefer porn to maths ;-)

Wow. I was being very tongue in cheek but McNamara really does have a better record than Bluey when it comes to beating Saints.
