Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

Maverick Rhino = spot on.

If you can't see that Senior was one of the better players on the pitch tonight you are a loon and should give up with your "Thoughts on tonight/today" threads.

So all the other points are valid you don't agree with one so I should stop posting - thanks - when I post as much diatribe as you I will consider refraining from posting - maybe you should also consider that?

Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

Why on earth focus on what he could have done and not what he did do?

Aside from that you're right to criticise his awful knock on and his poor play for Dixon's try.

Not so sure McGuire was "immense" but won't criticise a half back in those conditions (though he was at fault for cas' first try with an awful ball from dummy half).

Burgess should be dropped for Bailey. Truly awful ball retention.

Discipline is, frankly, becoming beyond a joke and if McLennan is unable to sort it our soon it will be the death of us. Mr Hetherington needs to have a serious word in the coaches ear about this failing especially as the coach himself identified it before the Saints cup game and seems incapable of doing anything about it.

Pleased with the defensive effort but thought we were awful ball in hand. Though the conditions didn't help they didn't hinder Cas as much. Cas had a much better kicking game, by some distance.

Oh, and Shenton didn't look any great shakes up against Ablett but nonetheless he did ingratiate himself to me by handing us the win.

It was meant to be ironic...

But a s G1 has pointed out, your apparent point is so ridiculous, then yes, please cease.

In Senior's defence, I'm not sure why Leeds were determined to fling the ball out to him in such conditions when taking a tap on their 20.

Pretty obvious really two minutes to go they were not making any headway him and Hall seemed the only outlet at the time given that both Ablett and Smith looked either injured or shattered

A huge issue as you say, just watching the replay and Tony Smith keeps stating the obvious when pointing out the negative effects in terms of field position and tries conceded.

tvoc will no doubt pop along with the stats on penalty counts, I've lost count again, suffice to say we are still losing the majority of penalty counts.

I get more furious every week about this. Especially when Mclennan has publicly stated he's aware of it and he's going to (when?) do something about it.

It appears he is unable.

Did you go to the game Gareth the conditions were appalling Cas had so much ball in the first half and managed one try from a dropped ball by Hall and one from a really bad defensive play from Senior not sure what else they did with the ball tbh. We had some players who simply could not adjust their play to the conditions Webb never looked like catching a high ball and Burgess never looked like keeping hold of one

No I watched on telly. It looked V bad. I thought the only try where they opened us up was the Chase one.

Psst, Hall's dropped ball was a really bad pass from McGuire at dummy half, behind him and over his shoulder.

I thought Cas handled the conditions much, much better than us part of which was down to their superior kicking game. Sherwin and Chase were very good for them.
