Hope it works out well for burgess but if his hip is so bad he's had to leave wigan then I personally can't see it.

I think Burgess' injury is similar to Adam Forshaw's so it's highly unlikely he'll be fit in the next 18 months

If we do sign a new 6 I hope it is a genuine proven 6 and not someone like Connor who wants to play 6 but has never cut the mustard in that position.
Gale is the organiser what we require IMO is a 6 with genuine class and pace to complement Gale. So if we spend big it needs to be a genuine 6 with no gamble.
I like Connor but see him more as a centre or fullback and unless Konnie goes or Walker remains injury prone do we need Connor?

Was a marquee player at Wigan on big money. They wanted him off the books so they can strengthen

That’s why I was thinking Trueman. Is a six. Might be a chunky transfer fee but what would an NRL stand off cost in comparison?

Connor needs a more consistent season for me. I know he can be brilliant but he can also go AWOL. Not convinced on how he’d fit in with the Leeds culture ethos either to be honest. Very talented player no question.

We've got 3 or 4 quite senior players who I didn't think were that great last year and lui was clearly one of them.If we can coax a good season out of him he could make a big difference to the team.

I like Trueman but doubt Cas would be willing to sell plus not convinced in this present climate we would be prepared to pay a substantial fee.

Think we need to give Mclelland a decent run behind a dominant pack before we start taking about new stand off's. Otherwise what's the point in having a talented young player on the books.....?
If the King go's will and we can bring Mclelland, Broadbent, Walters, through we are looking good moving forwards. We've tried the expensive NRL approach with very mixed results. I think on average it fails more than it delivers......

We've probably been a bit unlucky with merrin and ava but alot rests on tetavano this year.
