Personally I think if we are pinning our hopes on Mclelland then we are not aiming very high. If is potentially the big thing that some of you believe then he should have made it by now. Great players especially halves are usually breaking into the first team by the time they reach 18. I don’t think McLelland looks any closer to the first team than when we signed him.

Luke Gale didn't break through early so that theory doesn't always follow.

Last year was very touch to judge him on. Gale and Lui were rarely out unless being rested and he only got to play in weakened sides. This time round I doubt that will be the case, so he should get run. I hope Agar can resist the temptation to move Myler back into the halves when injuries do occur. At least that way at the end of the year the club can make a decision made on the evidence of performances at the senior level.

At this stage I'd settle for anyone playing behind a dominant pack. If he does get games, he has to play a part in getting the pack on the front foot

Our Oak is looking fearsome this year. Prior sets the example, and Mik us getting so good now.....
We'll get on top of most teams...

Not sure about fearsome but if they can stay injury free and hit some form we'll should certainly be able to compete with everyone.

Agree. I don’t think people realise how good Tetevano is though. JP was talking about him last week to Rob Oates and JP was really glowing about how good he is.

Can't see McLelland making it at Leeds unfortunately. Just through lack of opportunity. Someone mentioned Gale, perhaps Callums career will follow a similar pattern? He may have to leave Leeds just to find a starting spot?

Watching the indigenous NRL all stars game this morning. Good to see some live rugby league and competitive game with some hard hitting and a few mistakes which you would expect in pre season.
On the evidence of the first half we definitely escaped a bad deal with fifita. He's a big unit but his workrate is low and struggling to keep with the pace of the game. He is definitely only going to be able to be an impact player and for the money he would have cost we would have expected more minutes
