There have been reports of discussions being had though haven’t there? Would fit the bill for us and we have salary cap and quota spots available end of this year.

Maybe putting 2 and 2 together but if not Marty then someone of a similar ilk, hopefully.

Taupau, Leeming, Oledski, Walters, Martin, Smith is a decent starting pack with Holroyd, Tetevano etc on bench. That’s a pack to take seriously.

Agreed, Taupau takes Rob Luis spot on the quota, with Eastmond going into permanent six by 2022.

Hurrell, Prior, Martin, Tetevano, Thompson, Vuniyayawa, Taupau would be a brilliant set of overseas players, however I would be surprised if Prior stays after this year with the comments before returning to England.

We've been strongly linked with loads of players and nothing has happened so I'll believe it when I see it (i obviously hope he comes and isn't fat or krocked). But even if he is nailed on I still dont understand why we didnt keep our last quota spot for a proven quality player.

Bird in the had I suppose - Recruiting real quality from NRL on this climate is almost impossible. Soon as someone really good comes up all the decent SL clubs are in for them.

Marty is getting on a bit, but even if it’s not him I think we need another Tetevano-esque addition.

Speaking to a lad I know from Hull this morning, big FC fan, adamant that Connor is going to Leeds next season. Says it’s the worst kept secret at the club.

I know we’ve been interested for a while, but do wonder if it’s true now?

Problem is its pretty obvious full back is his best position. Early days for Hull but its clear Brett Hodgson has brought common sense to a chaotic club.

Signing Reynolds, picking one of the best hookers in SL as a starter again, moving Connor to 1 and giving them some structure has made them a better team by the looks. Early days though and not the strongest of opposition yet.

Reynolds and Connor are getting the headlines there but the service from the ruck that Houghton provides is top class. I wouldnt want him at his age at Leeds now but oh for a young 9 like him instead of the nonsense we watch. Every pass delivered accurately to the right person. No headless chicken acts, no kicking for himself, no throwing it high, low or behind his receiver just a simple job done brilliantly.

He is off contract this year. If he doesn't sign one by June then they maybe something in this.
