Anyone can get injured mate. Did you how innocuous Walkers serious foot injury looked? Same thing could happen to Connor in his first game for us....

Same with Newman and Handley. Just incidents that can happen at any moment to anyone.

The point about Walker is exactly my point.
Innocuous looking injury and he’s out for 2 years!!!
I worry that, like Ward, his body simply isn’t up to it.
And then there’s Holroyd - another one who plays 3 games and then out injured.

I'm conflicted on this. Like most I love to see the academy lads prosper and I think Walker has ability. I was a bit puzzled when the club resigned Myler, but I have to admit he has brought an extra dimension to our attacking play at full back. So we are not weak in the position. Thing is full back, half and hooker are the attacking spine nowadays, so if we really want to knock Saints off their lofty perch we should be going for the best available players in those positions. For me Conner is a better player than either of our incumbents, and if he's keen to come then maybe we should pursue. At half back I'm really hoping Eastmond comes up trumps. At hooker, let's just say I'm still crying into my beer about Corey Johnson.

Think the club are still crying into their beers about Corey, and so am I, but that ship has sailed unfortunately. Its a position we just cant get right in my opinion. Such a vital position too.

The game isnt producing the quality thru the systems so its difficult for all clubs to fill that role. Same with half backs.

If this is true, it could mean that it’s doubtful Walker will make a full recovery and Martin is on his way home. Connor would play at full back and take over kick duties.

I would hope we would certainly interested in signing him.He is a player we apparently offered £500K for (doubt very much it was that amount) and now we can get him for free.He's an excellent fullback and can step in at 6 if needed ,got to be a better option than Sutcliffe.

Hull board surprisingly quiet if this has legs. Don't forget the Schofield and crooks signings haven't been universally forgiven yet.

The fact that no contract extension has been announced does suggest Connor might be looking around but why he'd have signed anything yet, I can't imagine.

Long way to go on this one. From Connor perspective if negotiating a new deal with Hull or any other potential suitors having Leeds allegedly in the race pushes up the value of the contract offer.
