He certainly hasn't torn up any trees so far but martin hasn't been that bad.He's got bad asthma and contracted covid so that might have affected his pre season a bit but generally I think he's done ok.He's certainly the least of ours worries given the injuries that we have.

Just had a chance to watch a bit of the game again. Thought Martin did OK. Ran and tackled hard in the Sun whilst trying to look after his 18 year old centre. Ran a nice line for what would have been a certain try had a simple try scoring past been delivered. Also played big minutes. Mellor slighty less impressive (for me) but both will look a lot better when we have two halves and two first choice centres on the park.

Wouldn’t be happy as a Cas fan with the season just started. Why announce it now?? Bizarre.

My mate is a big Cas fan and he’s saying McDermott is heavily linked... doesn’t like it one bit

I thought the same with Powell. Especially as he’s got to concentrate on the castleford job, as well as get his squad together for Warrington in 2022. With Clark likely leaving for the NRL, Austin and Widdop possibly going back, I wouldn’t be shocked to see McShane and Trueman follow him.

I wouldn’t like to be a Castleford fan right now mind, having a coach having that kind of position so early on in the season. I personally hope that Castleford give Danny Orr a chance to take the reins, but I fully expect James Ford to be there.

No way Ford will give up what he has at York for Castleford. Be a silly man if he did!
