It has been a long time since I've posted anything but tonights incident provided the right motivation.

It was a shoulder charge, but IMO it wasnt worth a red when you take into account it was only slightly late(certainly no later than the one on burrow)and there was little to no contact with the head. In fact I do not believe Thaler was going to take any notice until it resulted in a scuffle

No doubt TMFMISL's reputation, the penalty count and the bad high tackle went against him

That been said I think it will be sending off sufficient and Bailey will be back to help the boys to back up this great performance next week.

The RFL, rightly or wrongly, will back the ref on this one I reckon. Bit needless by Bailey TBH, hitting a defenceless player after the ball had gone. I'd hope they'd look at Mounis' head slam on Sinfield too, mind. Of the two incidents that, by far and away, was the riskiest in terms of potential to cause injury.

Even if he doesn't get a ban for the sending off, he'll get one (and rightly so) for the swinging arm in the first half. Very similar to the one McGuire got a ban for last year.

I'd like to think both Taia and Mounis will be taking a trip to the disciplinary this week, but I somehow doubt they will.

Ha ha. I didn't think it was as bad as his swinging arm shot earlier to be honest. The touch judge told the ref it was a head shot and Bonnie's husband sent him off. It was probably a culmination of his fouls that made him see red. Not sure if he will get further sanctions from the RFL. What's your thoughts?

I think the earlier swinging arm influenced the Red and out of the 2 i'd have expected a Red for the 1st rather than the hit on Bosc.
Overall we did ourselves no favours with stupid cheap penalties and when the tough calls had to be made i wasn't surprised they went against us.
Good to see Thaler at it again though totally ignoring the the high shots ,ptb interference amongst many calls we didn't get.

Ptb interference , can Leeds actually effect a tackle without interfering? ,dirties, niggliest team in SL, and have been for several years , slight improved since Webb and Buderus have left, but still the worst by a long way

Leaving aside the rights and wrongs we won the game despite him and after going behind following his dismissal. With players injured nd Moore not used. We were brilliant tonight.
