Convictions for violence are not an automatic bar on entry, cases tend to be judged on their merits and the record of the person concerned since the incident.

The Australian immigration system seems to apply a much more sensible approach than the UK one, where even a driving offence is enough to keep you out of the country.

I will be sorry to see him go if it is true.Despite letting himself get drawn into silly nonsense at times, For me, Ryan has always performed to a high level in the big games and rarely lets us down.We have nobody else who brings what he does to the table.Ok, he might not be the enforcer on the scale of a Barrie Mac who went before him but i think having somebody on your team who riles the opposition and gets under their skin can be a great asset, never more proved than in the last Grand Final against the Wire.

In a way though,i kind of would like him to go to the NRL so he can resume his battles with the ginger ninja!
