Are you seriously trying to suggest that NRL halves struggle in Superleague? Sezer was great last season and this. Maloney despite being pretty aged, bosses that Catalan team all over the park. There is simply no comparison in ability when comparing British halves with Aussie equivalents. Fourty years of watching GB and England teams get beaten by the Kangaroos has taught me that if nothing else. For what it's worth I hope we do go for Trueman for the reasons that others have pointed out, but he's not at the level of a top class Aussie six yet and maybe never will be.

There is nothing to stop a British stand off becoming world class.

Only bad thing about Trueman is he also seems injury prone.

On realism! We won't get into bidding war with Warrington. Only one winner there, and they have Powell, can offer a good replacement potentially.
On another note Chris Sandow available. Still only 32....!

I’ll grant you Powell could be a factor but given the amount of cap coming off contract I think we can bid with the best of them.

Sandow is garbage and also wants NRL return not SL.

You may be right but I wouldn't see Warrington as the shoe-in.

Even in the doldrums Leeds has some pull for an ambitious young player. Arguably we have the best roster of young talent coming through in the league, and to be part of that would be very attractive.

The lad's a good player so he should have options. We are only a few key signings away from being contenders again IMHO, given another year maturity into our younger players.

We have much more pull than Wire that’s for sure. Our history, size, facilities, major city... brilliant track record with young players. We have it all and then some.

We will off what we think is a fair price.We have out bid clubs before.I remeber the Wigan chairman complaining that we had offered Furner a fortune to sign for Leeds rather than stay at Wigan.
