Williams has been top drawer for Canberra. i'd be happy with either tbh, but i think Williams has the edge currently purely down to his success in the NRL. No halfbacks from the UK have gone over there and stood out like he has in decades.

I agree Williams is the better player who i only see signing for Wigan.I would still be very happy if we signed Treuman.

Williams is certainly the more rounded player at present, but he is nearly five years older. Anyway I'm not going to get excited about either till I hear the club announce the signing.

I completely agree.

Williams is far more consistent and has performed at a high level both in SL and in the NRL.

For me, from just watching Cas when they are on the TV there are times when I get the hype about Trueman and he looks brilliant but to be honest I have to say I’ve seen plenty of Cas games where I’m left feeling MEH and he’s just not grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and from reading the Cas Fans forum there are several of his own fans that suggest he has one brilliant game every 4.....granted someone who would be brilliant 1 in 4 at HB for us would be better than anything Sutcliffe is ever going to produce in that position but for me Williams is far superior to Trueman....currently.

Another thing about Williams is that he’s going to cost £300k+ per season I imagine. We could get a 6 who was still very good for considerably less - and there are still other areas of the squad which need investment. I think with the dispensation Wigan will get for him on cap it’s a bit of a “no-brainer”.

I doubt he will get that amount from any club in SL.

Pretty much of the same said about Williams when he was at Wigan and how they wish he had played as well for them as he is doing for Canberra.
I agree about Trueman not always taking the game by the scruff of the neck but he is still young and has time to develop.
If I had a choice of a major signing personally I would go for Connor to play in the halves but think he`s already signed an extension at Hull.
