Its definitely Thompson, thought he went ok as well looks to have bulked up.

Cameron Smith again looked very good, i think hes in for a big year.

Looked a bit rusty in attack still but defensively looked ok.

Thought Tindall looked good needs to cut out the errors but hes still young.

Think Sinfield looks a bit too young physically but you can tell hes going to go ok

Not a bad run out for both teams. That Fev side'll go up I reckon. Nice to see panicky last plays phased out. Some decent performances in the pack but I'm still not sure Tet is quite there yet somehow.

Pleased with that performance from the lads. Hopefully the injuries to Holroyd and Smith aren’t too bad. We have another one for next week v Bradford to which I’d expect something like the second half with Prior and Fusitua being saved for Hull FC. As you say above, be surprised if we see Walker in any of the games.

Fev viewpoint: Think both coaches will be happy enough, especially McDermott with the first half and Agar with the 2nd. McDermott will be pleased that Fev hung with Leeds for most of the 1st half even with Leeds keeping their starters on for the whole half, until the 40th minute try it was 6-12 and that was probably a reasonable reflection of the game. The underfoot conditions and the fact that it was pre-season meant that a lot of the attacking sets were of necessity pretty vanilla, we'd obviously struggle to contain you a bit more on a fast track in mid summer when your halves are bedded in. Agar will be very pleased with how the younger/fringe players went in the second half after the wholesale changes, admittedly Fev started the 2nd half without Kopczak/Lockwood/Moors/Sene-Lefao and we do tend to struggle when our bigger forwards are all off the field at the same time, but those guys were drip-fed back on as the 2nd half went on. Fev played well, they’ll have to be towards top of the Champ this season you would think.

Leeds were down one prop (Prior) and I thought a physical Champ side held us down the middle pretty well. That is what I expected but still a worry if we’re serious about winning anything.

Cats, Saints, Hull and others will be a real handful in centre field. We still lack punch.

Some encouraging signs all round though. I did think Muizz might be the kind of player we need around first grade next year - he’s physical and aggressive, with a decent work rate too.

Difficult to read too much into it given conditions etc but a good “hit out” for both sides.

I can only imagine it might have flared up again when he's done higher intensity training / game simulation. Fingers crossed for the lad anyway.

Scott Taylor worked his way back from a lisfranc injury that caused him to miss most of last season. He's worked his way back and looked in great shape, only to get a stress fracture in his foot. He's out for another 2 3 months now.

Hope this isn't the case for Walker, and he's not out much longer for you.

On the Briscoe testimonial, I hope he get a good turnout! He's been a great servant to both clubs

Early days yet, but I like the way Sezer and Austin are popping up on both sides of the field. Will cause the opposition all sorts of problems and not something we've seen a lot of in recent years. Really hoping they can stay fit.
