What Luke does or doesn't do has very little with what his mother does or says. That is the part when I knew you were making things up.
If you knew anything about the family dynamic you would understand why. You clearly don't. I do. I shall elaborate no further in the public domain but suffice to say he was always going to Australia one way or another. That was in no doubt to those in the know (including GH). The only doubt appears to have been on your part.
Now that Luke has got his deal with Souths with such surprising haste (yeah right) do those posters who criticised GH for giving Luke a tight deadline to sign a Leeds contract now accept that GH was doing exactly the right thing? Let's see if they have the cajones to be contrite.
Hetherington was only correct if he treated all the players the same - quite clearly this was not the case.
Given the very sad issues with the father I would agree the chances of Luke doing what he has done for some time i.e. looking after his brothers was high. Gotcha is probably not a million miles away in suggesting the mother's influence in the decision-making process.
On the haste - it has only been announced on Friday that Luke was free to go - so South's seeing his position and with a view to the whole dynamic offered him a quick way out. What choice had he got either stay at Leeds and never play and be miserable or go have some fun in Sydney with his brothers - I could make a decision like - given the circumstances - in 5 minutes at most
