He won 5 major trophies (GF or CC) which is as many as Webb won and he didn't play in every final, and I would class Webb in probably our top 5 best ever signings (without remembering any before the 80s).
He also won a man of steel and his infield performances were pretty consistent and sometimes exceptional until this year.

Assuming he won't come back:
Was he a success?
Will you remember him fondly?
Will you boo him if he scores against us?

Yes.
Not fondly though I'll remember his 2015 try v Wire and some tackles from that year as being among the best of their type that I've seen.

Maybe/maybe not
No as long as he doesn't celebrate/ take the pi55

Of course he was a success. He could've been more if he had improved his attacking flaws that were there for a few years.

You especially have to take into account when talking about Webb and Hardaker is that one was a Kiwi international and big name coming in from the NRL. The other a young lad from the Championship who whilst had a good rep you never know if they'll make it when they jump up to SL. Before his move to FB he did a decent job at centre when we needed him even though he wasn't a natural there with a hat trick in the playoffs vs Hudds and performed well in the GF and WCC there.

For me he was tad fortunate to win the Man Of Steel as I felt whilst he had a great year Cuthbertson, Aiton and Ward all had better ones.

Think despite his performances on the pitch, his off field issues will always be the first thing in many people's minds when they talk of his time here in the future.

I genuinely hope he sorts himself out and is a star for Cas. I'd hope nobody wants to read about him in a few years doing a Gazza.

Fair enough. I think the Castleford forum on here is very much like St Helens and Widnes. We have a very popular separate forum, which attracts fewer trolls and faux-Frenchmen, so most tend to use that.
However, supporters of other clubs are welcome, provided their contributions are relevant, they don't enter into infantile bickering and they avoid trolling (which counts out many on the VT).
