There’s clips of the Austin podcast surfacng on Social Media about the NZ game, now if true (I think Austin seems prone to hyperbole) it dors make GH look a bit if a tit, but if Austin really does want to stay at Leeds he’s going about it terribly, not sure slagging your employer off in public is the best tactic .
This is a good watch/listen. Blake doesn’t hold back though, 23mins in, the Rhinos v Kiwis game is interesting!
Comically critical of GH "Loves a buck" and the boxing day game.
Not much by way of contract talks, wants to stay at Leeds, but also seems like him and his family are ready and would quite happily go home.
Id say this one is firmly in the clubs hands on whether what's on the table is appealing or not.
Also, seen a bit of criticism about Blake's openness and honesty recently. I think its quite refreshing that he's not regurgitating the standard player/club fare. He's quite comfortable with where he's at and what will be, will be. Cant fault him.
Over to you GH.

This is a real test of GH’s ability to get a good deal for Leeds. Clearly Austin was on his way out, he has been shooting his mouth off in public and that’s not the Leeds way. What matter as much as getting rid of him and the negative influence is what is done to replace him. If we don’t bring a new halfback in this year, it’s definitely over for 2023, let’s see what Gary is willing to spend to fix this situation for now and the next year or two.
Surely the club wouldn't do this without someone coming in, who will also be here for next season.
Is this just a ploy to get a free quota spot?
The interview is a strange one. In a way, it's nice to hear players talk more openly and honestly. Player interviews generally are completely pointless to watch or read because they don't say anything of interest. The problem is doing that podcast when you're trying to extend your contract. GH must have been fuming!
