Whatever the rights and wrongs these situations do not arise when a club is being run efficiently and as the man in charge Gary Hetherington needs to step up or consider if its time for someone else to take the reins. Austin Hardaker Leeming Walters contract negotiations/ releases poorly managed regardless of if people feel they deserved a deal. A succession of poor recruitment decisions and contract extensions over the last few years.The buck stops with Gary and he needs to take ownership!

Walters aside, who was offered more money by another club, all the players you mention were Agar signings who wanted more than RS / GH were prepared to give them (be that in contract length or other conditions).

It wasn't so long ago we were complaining about players being retained on too long contracts. The club has decided to draw a line in the sand. It's not great for this season, but Austin could have just played out his current contract and acted more professionally. If anything his behaviour vindicates the club's decision not to give him a longer deal.

There might be something to the idea of Leeds pulling the balance of power back to the club. As you say, Walters aside I don't think any of the players are a big loss in he long term, particularly if it lets us get our cap into shape quickly. Of course the test is whether we then seriously upgrade the squad or not...

I doubt it will be interesting, unless the people who ask the questions has changed.

I hear we're trying to get Sam Walker.

I`m pretty sure he will say it`s not for him to discuss publicly and these things are taken care of by others. He might say Blake asked to be released from his contract and his wishes were granted.
I personally think Sinfield will be given the half back role until the end of the season unless he`s doing his Duke of Edinburgh award or something similar!

Watch that last Powell press conference at Wire, with the back and forth and follow-up questions. Then compare it to what happens at the Leeds ones. It's night and day; yes Rohan Smith is evasive but it's partly because nobody asks decent, challenging questions or seems able to think on their feet.

Yeah not really like for like comparisons as I cant see Smith having a similar breakdown soon. Powell just lost it, and I dont want to see that.

If Cam Munster has been spotted at LBA, he is more likely to be heading to Wakefield than Headingley. We have more chance of signing Herman Munster.

Something has been not right behind the scenes at Leeds for a while now. We certainly aren't the club we were a decade or so ago. We almost seem to be slipping back to the club of the early to mid 90's.

I'm starting to think GH is getting a bit stale. We need a change in upper management to bring some new enthusiasm and drive to the field.
