The last time Leeds lost four on the trot was under Tony Smith in 2006, Leeds then lost a fifth.
That spell was 16th July to the 11th August and was bookended by a pair of two point victories. The losses (in sequence) were against Castleford, St Helens, Huddersfield (CC), Hull and Wigan.
When you look back to that run in 2006 the only team missing from this current run of losses is Castleford ....... I wonder who Leeds will be facing next weekend.
This barely adequate squad is being put to the test (as it was always likely to be at some stage) under a coach who doesn't show much faith in the famed Leeds production line at his disposal. The CEO has ensured this decline in standards will continue as he's skilfully retained his 'best ever' squad virtually en masse for 2014.
The only saving grace is the current system that allows teams to be under-resourced, poorly coached and managed, put in tired/mediocre performances and still be able to make the play-offs where the players can then get in a huddle, look each other in the eye and do it for themselves.
