Not sure why you'd make multiple moves to get rid of Sutcliffe? He's hardly a star but he's not generally a major weakness either. If I were Smith I'd be concentrating on best players in their best positions. Assuming (touch wood) Sezer starts to show more than he did earlier, I can't see any reason for not going Hardaker full back, Austin and Sezer at 6 and 7. Anything else just means shifting players out of their best positions to solve other problems, which generally leads to a mess.
Regardless, one reason we've struggled is that we've had no continuity in the spine. We need the first choice to play together and build combinations. My feeling is that Myler will become a utility sub, which may suit him anyway as he can float around when he comes on.
