The only departures we haven't replaced that are any quality are Hardaker and Sutcliffe. Dwyer, Briscoe, Thompson, Mustapha, Mellor, Broadbent and Walker wouldn't be in our first choice 17. Sutcliffe is no real loss, and if we sign a specialist centre we will look stronger. Olpherts is a definite upgrade on Briscoe and Sangare adds some oomph to the pack.

Hopefully we'll sign a centre at least though. Hardaker is a loss for sure, but if (as seems the case) Smith rates Myler ahead of him at fullback and we sign a specialist centre, would he be in the 17?

Next season will be fascinating. I can't see us really competing until we replace Tetevano and Prior at least, but hopefully we'll see some of the kids we've signed really come on.

YEP reporting that Leeds are in Pole Position to sign Lisone and Hale, that to me says it’s done.

Next incoming must be a specialist Centre.

Heard from David Attenborough last night that the new Lay logo is actually a Jaguar not a leopard.

Rumours that good time Derek is thinking about moving the franchise to Jarrow remain unconfirmed.

Well Greggs , we are now flexing our cheque book , we have out bid the Whinos for Hardaker , and offered Nene more cash than your lot , it seems Derek is doing it right , we are in middle of the World Cup , and the biggest talking point is Leigh Leopards , great publicity , we have just acquired the biggest sponsorship in our history , and are ready to announce another big signing , not bad for a joke Club .

Being laughed at around the world is an interesting definition of "great publicity".

This Beaumont cult of personality is almost Trump like. Everyone else can see he's almost like a snake oil salesman but a lot of poor folk in Leigh won't countenance any criticism whatsoever, no matter how far off the rails he goes, no matter what humiliations he brings on this proud club.

Derek has a few more surprises in the coming weeks , it’s a case of watch this space , this hasn’t happened overnight , everyone is talking about Leigh Leopards now a great bit of publicity, not only out bidding you lot though , but doing the same to the Giants with Luetele , a name means nothing it’s the team on the field , we have Ipape , Ferguson , Lam , McDonald , Asiata , Amone ,nowHardaker ,and Luetele, and wait till you see our next signing .
