Well it won't surprise anyone to learn that I'm not going either, even though I love Edinburgh and would go on a visit there even without an excuse.

I will be going to Edinburgh in August this year for the festival though, the difference being that during that period the city fills with people who don't see the weekend as an opportunity to get drunk.

Its a personal choice.
