One more thing, our defence seemed pretty good in terms of Cas not being able to break the line but I thought Cas were making so much yardage compared to us. It seem whenever they got the ball around their own 20 they got out of their own half with ease, whereas Cas were able to keep us pinned in our own half countless times.
Yes, we were lucky to get the 2 points, but you play to the full 80 mins, so tough titty Cas!
Our discipline is a continuing problem, as is our woeful kicking. High kicks are another area that requires more time on the training ground, with Webb, Hall and Donald all guilty last night.
And let's not forget the 16 point lead that we squandered.
Respect to all the players for attempting to play rugby in the atrocious conditions, but I've a feeling the clock is ticking for Bluey, unless he quickly addresses our problems.

Yes, gave away a 16 point lead against a side that made it past lower league opposition with a golden point last week in the CC.
hey guys, this is the one game cas will give everything for. they battered us,we only had 2 replacements for most of the game and still came away with the points.what do you want blood?
the forwards hardly got a rest because ablett had to play in the centres so it's no wonder they tired in those conditions

Even more reason to respect the possession rather than trying to play dry weather football.

We got tired because we p1$$ed possesion away and couldn't stop Cas ploughing up the pitch into our 20. Likewise we were unable to carry the ball out or kick effectively. Only stopping the opposition go-forwrd when they are within 10 of your line is not a defensive tactic most coaches would teach their players.
Agreed though that Cas always turn it up a level against us, and it's difficult to fault the effort the boys put in. We did get the two points (and I'm happier about it than our captain appeared to be), but even I felt like we robbed them, and I've seen Leeds lose planty like that in the past so I shouldn't have sympathy really.
Two points at Cas is always welcome, especially as there is no relegation now so we are not contractually obliged to help them out every year.

Leeds were pretty poor though, although I will say this, they bloody stuck in there when most teams would have folded.
Big raps for Peacock who is just a machine.
As for the Senior debate I agree with Bywater, he was poor, his slap the ball forward from the cross field kick was funny as hell!! His dropped ball comic book capers weren't much better either.

Every team we play seems to make yardage so much easier than us. That is one of two things, the ref is not taking the oppossition as far back (which I dont think is the case), or our forwards are simply not big enough without faster ruck areas.
I thought leeds were shite last night for the most part. Their effort was outstanding, and thier will to win was also impressive. But as a collective of players they were poor. No organization, poor choices and decisions, and simply not using their brains. Remember that Cas team were missing 4 first choice players. But the fact that we were down to 15 deserves some praise.
Webb wants shooting on last nights performance, and to be honest, just like Donald its not the first time this season he has looked that bad.
Thought, McGuire (individually), JJB, Smith, Senior, Peacock, were very good. The rest, simply not.
Which is why I dont agree on the Senior argument. He was pathetic with that kick across, but he run some great lines last night, and was always looking for the ball to take it in. Him and Smith made more yardage than the forwards in that last 15 minutes.
I also dont agree with people on the disciplinary issue. It is annoying. But I just dont think refs are consistent with the decisions they make. Some of the things Leeds get pulled for that people are now moaning about, like holding down, could have further problems if they did not push the boundaries.
Didn't think Webb was that bad to be honest, I can't remember any mistake other than the dropped bomb which I doubt many fullbacks would have taken in those conditions.
As for Senior, he was garbage, his legs have gone, his sideways movement is nill and his ball handling ability is starting to look scarily poor, in a big game he will cost us.

Unfortunately for that viewpoint, in a big game he's the only Leeds three-quarter who's likely to pose any threat as well.
What caused Donald's injury last night? A sharp gust of wind? It looked bizarre from the amount of contact.
