Bentley was a full England International as far as I recall. He came to Leeds after royally mouthing off about Will Carling - and with some justification - thus attracting the disaffected label.

Jim Fallon was England 'A' rather than full England wasn't he?

rosslyn park iirc, my point was that if the said journo thinks RL is a joke sport then why does it's players attract interest from the other (in his thinking more superiour) code? it was more of a go at him rather than the english RU but again you only came up with 2 names bentos and fallon (who was a b international). in fact i played on the same team as bentos and doddie weir last year whilst in kowloon, so i've nothing against RU, just journos like fissler who want to put our great game down. and a leeds Centre far better than senior came from local RU.

I know it's not the point you are making, but wiki and other sources say Hudds YMCA

I played with Bentos and against Doddie ironically.

John destroyed Carling when they played against each other Yorks V Durham and North V London..

I could understand why he was hacked off, one didn't get picked, the other was made captain.
