BTW what chance LUFC go straight back down next season? By no means impossible judging by the current standard of recruitment. As for being 'contenders'. Two chances...a dog's chance and no chance.

With regards your last paragraph i'd agree with that totally. Lets have a little faith though that Grayson n Bates know what they're doing..

The YEP reports that Montgomery had received an offer from Leeds but opted to go with a new contract at Sheff Utd.

The 'failed medical' story has only appeared on a couple of internet message boards very briefly. He'd agreed terms & captaincy (as Jay DeMerit is moving on) but talked to Leeds after a late offer but opted for Watford.

Not many 'outgoing' rumours. There's the ones about Kilkenny, Snodgrass to Notts Forest, Grella to Norwich and Howson to Torino. Been one about Becchio to Reading and kisnorbo going somewhere too. The latter looks a really unlikely one when he's still recovering from a major injury!

Sadly no rumours about Jason Crowe.

I'm sure there'll be many rumours every day until the season kicks off at least.
The 2 Freebies are decent enough especially Schmeichel imo.
I doubt we'd sell Becchio,Snods and Killkenny unless it was a very good offer and i think Grella could have a bigger role to play in the Championship.

Tbh, im personally pleased with the two freebie we've got. I still think we need to sign a good 5 or 6 more players to comfortably stay up never mind promotion.

I agree re-5/6 more signings so i guess it'll be wait and see what SG comes up with.
