Erm it might have been agreed before he arrived.

When it’s announced and when it was agreed are not necessarily the same thing.

Hopefully by the end of next season one of Lumb/Simpson/Tchamambe are ready to start playing a few games and take the place of 3rd winger

that's when it was announced, I seem to remember it being in the press way way earlier than that, maybe May/June last year?, I'm not saying it wasn't a smith signing I just questioned whether we knew that for sure.

Simpson would have played plenty this year if not for the unfortunate injury. Fingers crossed he can hit the ground running next year.
