Are all opinion's expressed on here backed by statistical evidence these days? If not why should mine be any different?

Besides which if every non-Leeds fan isn't having a laugh at Hetherington, McDermott, 'Sir Kev', 'the greatest Leeds squad ever assembled' and our (the fans) expence this morning then they are missing a golden opportunity.

London's last SL win of any kind was last year, their average result in SL this season before yesterday's game was 14 - 46. At Odsal Hull got turned over by a team in some recent resurgent form under their new coach - makes you wonder what Bradford may have achieved if they'd ditched the always nice but always laid back Cummins sooner?

In our own tipping comp 8 entries tipped Bradford to beat Hull (you had Hull to win by 8 - hardly a walk in the park territory then?)

viewtopic.php?f=17&t=573005&tsmp=1408365292

Not one entry foresaw a Leeds defeat at winless London - there again only one foresaw a home Leeds defeat to Bradford a few weeks back and modesty prevents me from identifying who that was.

My comment to you was tongue in cheek but you are so po-faced you didn't or couldn't see it that way.
In future to make such lighthearted or facetious comments clear I'll append a smiley face.

Like or loathe the coach, there is only so much he can do. That embarrassing last 20 minutes was 100% down to the players on the field and their lax attitude. Nobody talking to each other, nobody showing any leadership, nobody taking hold of the game and closing it off, nobody showing any urgency etc etc. These are things that during the game a coach has little or no control over. The game was lost long before London's last try. The players simply stopped putting any effort in.

The plain written word can be a harsh medium and I imagine the humour I have injected into many of my posts is missed by those who can only read them having first adopted a Victor Meldrew persona.

Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

Who is laughing at us?

The Bulls as they head to the Championship? Warrington or Saints who won't be playing in teh cup Final on Saturday courtesy to us?

As we head off to Wembley (yet again) on the back of fantastic financial results (yet again) without fear of administration or relegation I'd genuinely consider any other fan or club who were laughing at us as lunatics, which would still rank them above the majority of Leeds "fans" who post on here in the gene pool.

Let 'em laugh (if they are), who cares?

Like I read what one opposition fan wrote.

"I'd gladly lose to London if the reason was we were preoccupied with a Wembley Final the following week.....instead of having the week off like we will have, Leeds MIGHT not end up with a trophy next weekend....but we definately WON'T end up with one. I'd rather be in their position."

Regarding the apparent lack of concern toward the CC, it's amazing that the similar posters used an early exit in 2013 as a stick to beat McDermott and this team with ("no we can't expect them to always come through in the big games like some of you claimed").......now we're back in the final it's just a nuisance on the landscape towards the LLS apparently.

...but is not the coach's job to sufficiently motivate the team? And to decide when and where to make his substitutions?

What you are saying in effect is that the players decided it was just not worth making sufficient effort for this coach.....perhaps they suspected that no matter how much effort they expended they just might not be rewarded with a Wembley place with this particular coach ??

Sinfield, Peacock, Burrow and McGuire were never going to play in that game coming a week before Wembley but the rest probably could and arguably should have been selected.

Yet another two points needlessly given away by a club allegedly after top spot.

The club this morning are a laughing stock.

For me it's more a case of the RL is a laughing stock. As I stated elsewhere the club and the players have made it patently obvious on the playing field where their priorities lie....it is not their fault that the RL agree to such a structure and playing calender. The LLS is obviously the first to suffer in perceived credibility....and will continue to suffer until there is more incentive otherwise.

I am not condoning Leeds' approach to the regular league games and thus of course the paying supporters, but I can understand it

What a load of tosh! I sometimes wonder why some people claim interest in this sport when they so obviously lack any understanding of the game. You and a few of your chums have been having a go at McDermott for almost four years now. You are on record at admitting you got it badly wrong for two of those years. Here we are once again, in with a great chance of winning all the trophies and all you can do is snipe.

Both the coach and the players each have their own responsibilities. In this particular case it is naive to judge the coach to be responsible for the loss of two points. The timings of the interchanges is also a red herring. The loss was the responsibility of defensive mistakes by the players out on the field.
