usual shambolic stewarding when it's a big game.
everyone stood on the steps upto the SS seats so those of us in the front row had no view.
got quite heated until the senior steward came and moved people.
same every game.

Amazing thing is at Headingley they think that match day/eve experience is fantastic . It is not , the stewarding is shocking and the bar service is terrible plus they have little selection on the bar , with the decent products always off sale . You can always get Carlberg though :

I don't drink so no idea about the bars.
but missing a lot of the game really spoilt the day.
next time I'll sit in the global or main stand.
only sat down as I took my 7 year old grandson. so he could see!!!!

To offer a counter experience, first time I’ve done corporate at Headingley today and you can tell why its so successful as it was outstanding .

I was disappointed with the experience at Headingley yesterday, too.

This was my 15th match I've watched this year, and no others were as bad as this one. Every one of them from the South Stand Terrace.

Stewarding standards were at an all time low - people stood on the steps and walkways to a point it was difficult to leave the stand at half time. I mentioned this to a steward on my way past who seemed oblivious to the problem. Someone mentioned the amount of 'non-Leeds fans' at the ground been at fault, but I don't think this is the case.

Just before the second half kicked off, I went to the bar. The choice of available drinks was Guinness or Cider. Normally I don't drink either.

Everywhere seemed a bit more chaotic than usual. If I didn't know better, I would have thought that the stadium was over capacity. But that wasn't the case, and larger attendances have been no problem in the past.

I don't know whether the attendance had caught the staff by suprise, or if there has been a change in management, but the whole experience was sub par, in my opinion.

I hope someone from Headingley sees this and takes note.

it was exactly the same the only other time I've sat in the south stand. that was the the burrow/JJB game v the bulls.
the stewards didn't want to know.

Yeh, I was on the south stand terrace near the half way line.
Ended up having to stand on the walkway on the steps because the steward along the pitchside would not let anyone past.
And guess what, a huge bottleneck grows as people have nowhere to go.
Stewards generally at all major events simply don't know what they are doing. They're usually temp employees who haven't got a clue.
My mate runs an event security business and he just gets anyone he can to work for him at events.
So what do you expect.

Similar with the bar staff tbh.
They're a bit clueless and ridiculously slow.
Bar queues at half time were a joke.

On a positive, the bar and concourse area is a million times better than it used to be in the old south stand.
In my opinion of course.

And FFS get rid of that bloody drum, your bags get checked at the turnstiles, "oh you can't bring this,that and the other in " how does this idiot walk in with his toy then ????
