He is big enough and I presume he wants to have a go so let’s try him, sideways movement will be a struggle but he will be tough .
And as for an Olepharts replacement , no brainier .

But maybe he’s a poor union prop and better suited to League. Prop is much mire difficult position in league than some people think. Defensive reads, tackling technique, plus attacking structure and running lines all take years to become instinctive.

Yep. Would have thought the chances of it working out are probably one in a hundred, but no harm in trying.

I'll be amazed if he's doing anything more than just making the numbers up for early preseason.

Kershaw has always impressed when I`ve seen him play but we are still short at FB.
Unless it means Handley covering there which I`m not happy about.
Whilst Greg Eden is no world beater he does have pace, can score try`s and can cover FB hence why I`m surprised we didn`t go for him.

He (Eden) is quite injury prone and has been since 2020. Played about 50 games in 4 years despite being a 1st choice player.

Yep. Edgell turns 20 next in 2024 so he should be just about ready for a few games in the 1st team. I'm comfortable with the lads like him and Sinfield getting a chance rather than paying higher wages for veterans on the downside.

Eden is marginally better than olpherts but still would have/has had massive brain explosions so I wouldn’t have seen the point in that as a swap.

Whoever compared Kershaw to Luke Briscoe I’d say that’s pretty bang on. Handful in yardage.
