That's a really strange one with myler leaving so late, his salary, the live cap and only Hudson coming in after.

Leeds are probably paying a big percentage of Mylers salary as he was still contracted to us.

Like was suggested at the time, Myler leaving was probably part of the jigsaw all along - and was why Hudson was only confirmed after we'd found somewhere for him to land.

Guess we'll see. GH certainly hasn't been above a bit of misdirection in the past. Pretty sure Olpherts will leave and Kershaw will come in, what happens next might be dependent on availability and may well occur after the start of the season.

We don’t know if anyone else has been upgraded to don’t forget - Holroyd and a couple of others may have reached agreements and we just don’t know yet.

Bentley remains the big one for me, where I’d have seen his salary pay for another good prop perhaps. But RS knows what he’s doing but just into this year but the next year or two. You have to be thinking ahead of time constantly because contracts last for longer than one season of course.

I`d be amazed if we were up to the cap unless some already in the squad have had a major uplift on their salary.
And I can`t believe we would be paying some of Mylers salary.
Why not just keep the bloke?

RS said Myler would play a number of games in the halves this year plus he was first choice cover at full back.
If we are paying some of his wages makes zero sense.
It's not an Austin situation where he was potentially a disruptive influence. He was one of our most consistent performers the last 3 years.

If GH isn't omitting other signing(s) then it makes the Myler move make sense but really makes Resigning Donaldson and Bentley look like poor decisions
