on the leeds match summary it says JJB scored a try and recieved 5 points for it!

and that makes a difference why. Are you suggesting it is legal to take an opposing player out off the ball as long its a sufficient distance from the player with the ball? Its foul play regardless and the VR didnt need to look any further than that offence off the ball. Once Newton had blocked JJB it was a penalty to Leeds anything thereafter is a total irrelavence. For Smith to have missed it at the time was poor but refective of his ineptitude but to then miss the foul on the video is scandalous beyond belief.

anyone notice when sinfield 'stole the ball' off newton smith told him him he should just have laid a hand on him to complete the tackle?

that happened in the saints game with bentham and he was ridiculed and told he was in the wrong by the RFL
