Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

Where did the fault lie that season? The CEO, the Coach, the Players or maybe even the fans?

Or were St Helens and Castleford (neither big opponents according to Murray) just too good?
Eh?

The 1999 team won the Challenge Cup. This teams failure to do so this year had you in a bit of a tizzy and asking questions about the squad, coach and Chief Exec.

Not me.

I don't necessarily see the need to find "fault" for defeats when results on the sporting arena are decided by factors other those which are discussed on here. defeats will happen. defeats would happen even if the club did all the things you would like them to do.

Would they be the same questions I've been asking of the CEO, coach and the squad assembled before that CC defeat?

As for the 'not me' remark, I've not exactly been alone in questioning the coach's methods on here either although I've done that less than some as I think he is limited somewhat by the squad he has at his disposal this season compared to last when it comes to the 'big' matches.

Probably, but the result fuelled the belief that you were right.

Would that be the coach same questioning of methods I have consistently done throughout last season when some where hailing him as our greatest ever coach?

Yes, that would be the same coach whose methods successfully got his team to peak in February for the WCC and October for the GF becoming the first coach to do so during the SL Era. Although he arguably did so with a better squad at his disposal.

Would that be the same WCC he competed in thanks to his predecessor, a predecessor who managed to coach his team to a CC Final?

Oh, and that achievement in 2008 was achieved with no additions to the 2007 squad unlike the luxury he has been afforded this year.

that defeat at saints on the tuesday after the cc win was a farce, as was the same when we battered them a few days after they had played in the final.
leeds were on the beer and never met up till tuesday afternoon for that game. murray was quoted at the time as saying he picked the 17 'fittest' players regardless of position.
i think he meant most sober

Tony Smith's Leeds got to one CC Final in four years didn't they? So McClennan's Leeds could yet emulate that feat or possibly even beat it.

Did Eric Anselme tell you to say that.

Oh and how many of the 2007 squad left at the end of that season requiring replacements to be found?
