Spot on.

I'm not convinced the Gary Hooper deal is dead yet either.

I suppose my worry at the moment is that the players we seem to be linked with are for the most part freebies from mid/lower Championship clubs down to players whose experience is non-league to League One.

Might be that there's more coming in than we thought - a bit like mid 90s Bradford Bulls when they signed everyone and his dog then developed and retained what worked.

Cant believe McSheffrey is likely - he did feck all while here and hadn't scored for something like 2 years before that.

Apparently 'The Chief' himself has recommended Leeds one of South Africas World Cup squad although it's not been mentioned which player is involved, I've also heard Gareth McAuley could be on his way.

He is free though.

Like I said earlier, if we have missed out on choices 1, 2, 3, 4, etc, then it might be that McSheffrey ends up the only option.

As earlier, free signings are great business if you get the cream. But if free signings is your only plan then when the creams already gone you end up with the likes of McSheffrey.

Do you not think that it's too early to be having a pop at SG and writing the team off before a ball has been kicked in anger?
Afterall it's still only the 1st week in june and plenty of time to get other players in of the right quality.
