Positives + Negatives : Sun May 17, 2009 7:39 pm
Well nearly half way through the weekly rounds, so what's been good, what's been bad...
POSITIVES:
Ryan Hall - Our top try scorer, looks better under the high bomb but still needs a little work on it, 2nd best metre make behind JP is he?
Danny Buderus - In the games he's played he's done well, hope he can get better and better.
Early season form - Not including Manly we won our first 5.
Wigan home + Huddersfield away: Two great performances.
Paul McShane - Has played very well and it's good to give Diskin and Buderus a run for their place in the 17.
NEGATIVES:
Scott Donald - Yes he's been put on the wing to sure up the defence, but Lee Smith was better in defence than him the other night. Hope he ups his game for the second half of the season.
Ashley Gibson - Unfortunately he just doesn't have the talent to be a top class SL centre, which has been proved in a few games this year.
Our performances against St Helens - Outclassed in both games.
Quins, Salford + Bradford, really should be beating these teams.
WCC - Was our "target game" and we really didn't play to our level.
Props - Apart from Peacock and Bailey at KR, none of them have really been in top form. Kylie's carries are poor, Burgess' ball retention is shocking. Bailey just goes missing at times.
We should be aiming to win all of our games for the rest of the season, we will lose some. But if we lose more than two we've done worse than last year, but if we put in the form we did at the start of last year, we should finish top.
