Just seen an interview with a HKR director who said that after Leeds and Hull, it was Wakey who took most supporters to Craven Park, for a middle 8 qualifier at that ! There could be a number of reasons for that unlikely stat, but I've got to say I was surprised at the lack of away support for the so called "bigger" teams last season. TV scheduling and televising of matches obviously has a big impact on attendances, but have we reached a worrying point where fans are just too damn lazy to travel despite the tremendous fayre on offer ?

People can't afford to do every game. I guess if your a Wigan saints or Warrington supporter hull KR is one of the games you may skip given the distance.

As much as I like the new system i think there are too many games.

It's basically a 10 month season (for the best players)which is too long.

Money is an issue, both tickets and fuel costs (though petrol has gone down. As is travelling time and inability to get time off work or change hours. This ties in with more games being weekday games.

Also clubs, naturally prioritise gaining home support rather than away fans.

Travelling along the M62 corridor in either direction has to be a factor for all working fans, except for some shiftworkers.

It's probably the joint biggest reason for me, along with cost.
I simply can't be bothered to go to the hassle of leaving work early and spending 4-6 hours travelling on very busy roads for 80 minutes of entertainment. I'll wait until the following week when they're back at Headingley.

I missed 4 games of last season (Hull FC away in League games & both Catalan games) I worked out the other day how much I roughly spent on RL in 2015 (travel, shirts, tickets, booze etc) I stopped counting after £2.8k as I was getting scared...

Hull KR have done a brilliant deal with a few clubs that their season ticket holders get tickets for £10 and vice versa, excellent idea and if they roled this out it would more than likely increase attendances.
