Looks like Bentley will be 11, Martin 12 and Mellor 15.

Myler won't be bothered about a number. This is no indication of the 1st choice full back.

Because nothing says “we’re going to extend your contract” like a demotion from squad number 2 to 20…

Well, Jack was #1 previously and after the injuries probably not right to take it off him.

Indicates to me the club must be reasonably confident he is fit now.

Maybe they asked Briscoe what number he wanted after 17 and he picked 20 because it still has the 2 in it.
Don't read too much into it, he knew he wasn't in the first 17 so does it matter after that.

Just a number but a little disappointed Tetevano takes 13. Without adding another prop I think Smith at 13 would be a better fit in the 17 with 2 bench props to keep the intensity up when rotating.

I agree shirt numbers probably don`t mean that much other than to keep some players happy and pish off others.
Didn`t Walker threaten to leave once when Golding got the FB birth or am I making that up?
Smith for me at 13 but Tetavano would have his nose put out of joint not making the 13 I guess.
In the end it`s who performs on the pitch not what shirt number they were wearing.
