The Wire deserves all the plaudits. Fantastic TV. Season four is the best of the lot, in my opinion. Five is still very good though.

Cracking stuff - I've read all the books, which I gather they've now caught up with, so the author is racing to finish the next one.

My wife refused to watch after the first episode; her verdict was that "it's all swords and shagging." From that moment, I knew it was going to be a winner.

Done series 1 and 2, its fantastic viewing and can't wait for series 3.
