What a wonderful film! Beautifully produced, Very un-Spielberg like in regards to little action & in regards to the film not portraying his assasination. It is a courtroom, political drama that focuses on Lincoln's desire to pass the 13th ammendment in congress by any means. Daniel Day Lewis does a wonderful job and you could tell he loved playing the role. There are some great speaches and lines, I also enjoyed Tommy Lee-Jones contribution, he contributed magnificently.
I think Spielburg will finally get his 3rd best director oscar.

Bravo!
I think I'll be off to see that when it comes out.
I'm struggling to get excited about this one, as I am with Les Miserables; my interest in seeing a film is adversely proportional to the number of faux-sincere, gushing interviews, wherein a group of artists tell anyone who will listen how wonderful they all are. I also have an aversion to Oscar-bait, which both the aforementioned clearly are.
I'll probably stick it on my Lovefilm list, really enjoy it, then realise what a churlish, grumpy old man I have become.
