To be honest I thought pre season it might have worked but its turned out a white elephant. His worse position is at 6, ineffective at 1, and probably looks more comfortable at 9. Has Royce changed Gary Wheelers contract so that he is not allowed to play at 6.

I knew it was a disaster when we signed him as a halfback. Not that he's a bad player but the fact he'd played fullback for past 7/8 years and at 28 we was asking him to learn the most important postion on the field.

Same goes for laffranchci, he's a decent player but he's a edge running backrow being asked to play in a postion he's never played.

Shocking recruitment but i don't agree with any of simmons utter crazy methods or way of thinking.

Does anyone else feel it's like watching a much loved pet struggling to keep going. I really did not want to admit it needs putting down, but now it's just getting cruel to keep making it struggle through week after week.

Not impressed with Laffranchi either, I know he has had some decent games of late, but I was expecting him to be a bigger unit and being a senior player pass on some experience into the team. Seems to be a percentage player who goes about his business quietly, expected more grunt from him.

He's big enough to play backrow which is his proper postion and he's a wide runner and defo not the sort to add grunt.

Guys, this is reading almost like a verbatim transcript of the Bulls forum of about three years ago. In fact, watching you guys tonight was very much like watching the Bradford Donkeys of around three years ago.

Our demise was largely down to serious lack of money, so it was long-term. You do not have that concern, so I have to presume there is some other cause and that it can only be very temporary? Because that was not Saints we saw tonight.

Watched alot of Laffranchi for the titans last year and whilst I never like writing a player off before he's pulled a shirt on, he was never going to be an adequate replacement for Jammer, but then again, who was.

We needed to sign a dominant front rower to make up for the lack of grunt from our current font row (Perry and LMS) but it didn't happen.

I cant hep but think LH was a knee jerk reaction to losing Eastmond in an effort to settle fans concerns. Again, signing a full back/utility player to play at 6 when you were clearly sidelining Pryce who is arguably the most potent 6 in SL was always a gamble that was doomed to failure. Some average signings in recent seasons and as much as I hate to say it, I can't help but think it will hit Saints in the pocket come next season if things don't pick up.

Think that was the Saints' intelligentsia consensus for sure. Still he has the kind of game that can work over here but yeah I'd agree with it being a bit of a Neville Chamberlain signing.

Think our 'average' squad will surprise a few teams over the next few seasons, hopefully the opposition will go into games with the same attitude as you.
