I think you may well see a goodly contingent of young players in our side this week but not because we don't appreciate Wakefield. It will be simply because we have a growing list of injuries (and our young players are our backup)! Unless they all appeared worse than they actually are, we are likely to be missing Long, Roby, Fas and possibly Gilmour (unless it was just cramp, in which case not) to add to Tony P who is already getting over a groin injury. There also seems to be a question mark over Graham but I can't decide whether someone confused him with Roby. We were going down like flies on Friday! Either way, we may be showcasing some young talent again come the weekend. Hope no-one will think we're doing anything other than what we have to do, given our War of the Roses on Friday night.

Well if all you can do is field young players then no-one can complain - we've had to do it all season and it wouldn't go amiss to see young players getting their chance on a night when we'll all be remembering Leon and the chance he would have had soon.

for me if it had to be any team, it has to be saints.
bring loads of fans, the most entertaining team in SL, and go for it.

thats in my honest opinion would be the greatest respect you could give my club and this lads memory. No one would want less.

the result at this moment i dont actually give a damn about, as others have said this is not going to be a normal night.

respect

:D

Whilst I hope we get the win at Wakefield, all circumnstances taken into account I will not be too concerned if we don't. A good performance is what matters

I have often thought of Wakey as a club that is similar to Saints - an organisation that the RFL would probably like to 'move aside' for someone else; a club that has had its share of the problems getting the council and other parties on side for a new ground; a proud club with a rich tradition and history, a side with strong roots in the community; a plucky fighter against adversity.

Now with one of the most underestimated coaches in the game, they have brought a refreshing philosophy to the game - that youth and lower tier 'no marks' can be as effective as NRL imports.

Friday night will be an emotional game, but I am sure the spirit of RL wil shine through, which sadly cannot bring back Leon Walker. I would like to thing the collective spirit will be of some small significance to his family.

We should pay respects in the correct manner with all respect due. But I still hope we play to win.

And I like every other Wakey fan would hope you come into the game after the 2 points

Not too fussed about the result, as long as we pay a good tribute to Leon I will be happy.

I'll echo what the Saints fans say, I hope we win but I'm not too fussed if we don't. I'd really like to shelve this season to be honest but life isn't like that so the best way is to get on with it.

Again I'm glad it's Saints we are playing. A team we have always respected but never been afraid of, always happy to have a go. We have beaten Saints on a number of occasions and been beaten a few more, but the games have all been remembered for the Rugby. Never any controversy, parochialism or malice in these games which is what we need.

Come in numbers and entertain us

I will be there on Friday. Its a crushing blow to the The Wakefield club and its at times like this the rugby league family need to pull together. I was gutted to hear the news on friday night and I trully hope that as many supporters who can will attend the match to pay tribute to Leon and his family.

It is absolutely right that the game should go ahead. The biggest sign of respect for the lad is we go there, have a good time with their fans and play a fantastic match. Show the world what rugby league is about

Does it really need words like thrashing, a bit OTT don't you think. May the best team win and all that.
