Makinson ever improving & I think Swift could be an absolute diamond. Solid in defense, very quick, good step & a brave hard working player. Deserves an opportunity on Monday.

To he fair, the point the OP was making is correct. We've been saying its impossible to bring good overseas players over now due to the money in the NRL and how the is no quality props knocking around. Yet Warrington have signed Asatosi and and hull KR have signed weyman. Both of them would have been a massive step up in class than re-signing laffranchi.

I would have been over the moon with the signings on Walsh, maose and weyman and I honestly think we'd be back in the mix.

I think that's the point the OP is making.

Spot on but I also think we need Brown to stop being so erratic with his team selection and tactics (do we have any?) to be truly back in contention

We do, I totally agree but I'll base "tactics" when I see a Brown side with a proper halfback like Walsh. I think his team selections don't help but in the flip side, the halfback situation has basically killed us this year.

Any work done last pre-season with the halves just went out the window.

Next year we will see what brown is made of.
