You've got a international stand off who's a senior player, he's been there, don't and got the t-shirt and you've got a young cocky kid who thinks he should play every week no matter if he's playing poor.

The international 6 has been out with neck injury, the young kid been holding his own but not pulling any trees down. The senior stand off comes back and starts getting a game, the young 6 not happy.

I'm not defending Gaskell because I have no idea what went on there and it's all water under the bridge now. I'm very happy with having Walsh and Hohaia as our halfback combination for this season regardless of their weaknesses as I'm sure they have some. However, to suggest that Gaskell not being retained by Salford was an indictment of Gaskell is rather pushing it. They sent Sneyd out on a season long loan and look how he's worked out! Brian Noble loves his antipodeans. Gaskell could have been pulling up trees at Salford but still wouldn't have been taken on under Noble.

Strange no other clubs came in for a young talented halfback when they are very sought over. I'm pretty sure he's not chose the bulls over other clubs.

No idea whether other clubs came in for him or not. He may well have chosen the Bulls over other clubs. Foster is there and they're mates aren't they? Also, he may have liked what Francis Cummins had to say at the time, which was prior to their latest series of implosions.
