Lance and charnock could work quite well imo.

I'm not keen on blooding a noob at this time of year, injuries permitting obviously, but I'd like to see this kid given a go simply because so many people have been bigging him up (always a dangerous thing to do when it comes to young players!).

I've said same thing all year that only certain players get dropped when others have been stinking the place out nearly all year.

I agree, it's a silly time of year to be blooding youngsters (which is why I was calling for him to play vs London last time!) but I'd of called for him to play at London anyway, and the dire performance this week just brings the point forward - something's got to change from last week!

Seems to dictate the u19s in a similar way to Walsh with us, always gets multiple mentions in reports etc - I'm surprised he wasn't picked to play vs widnes

Brown has said he's not ready.

We can get away with lance at 6 when Walsh is playing but we can't when Walsh is out. We are back to square one when Walsh doesn't play and that's why stand off is priority.

In the end it will not (should not) matter who plays 6 or 7 against London or Bradford.

We should win those. Then hopefully Walsh might be fit to go again when the trickier ties come along.

I know people will say it should be the same against Hull KR. But Wilkin needs to be on his game to stand up against an average side. Against poor sides he should be able to have a smoke behind the bike sheds and not be missed.

Walsh was at hull KR with his mrs and kid, so at least we know his mrs hasn't gone home yet


I can't imagine his back is to serious if he traveled to hull.

I've just seen the highlights of the Bradford-Catalan game. If Bradford play like that against us then it won't be an easy ride. They pulled off some good attacking plays. Their defence is still questionable (but then ours is too) but I certainly don't feel as comfortable about us playing them on Friday as I did the last time we played them.

London, meanwhile, appear to have gone backwards which is a great shame but a bonus for us because we should beat them comfortably.

Yes I seen him there. I think we just being safe with Walsh as he's pretty important to us. I'd expect him back for London to have a run out.
